Children's Chorus - girls and boys in grades 3-5
Treble Choir - girls and boys in grades 5-6
Chorale - girls and boys in grades 7- 9
Concert Choir - women and men in grades 10-12
How:
Young people wishing to sing in one of the four Honors Choirs must schedule an audition
and are chosen for their vocal ability. Everyone auditions every year. The audition information sheet, available by clicking above, gives valuable information about both the organization and the audition process. Please note that fifth graders will
be heard by TWO directors as they are eligible for two choirs.
When and Where:
Auditions are usually held in late spring. Directors
will consider adding qualified singers throughout the summer on
a space-available basis. Mid-year auditions are held in December,
also on a space-available basis. If you wish to be notified if there
are mid-season openings (December), call the Honors Choirs office
at (507) 252-0505 to have your name put on a waiting list.
All auditions are held at the Honors Choirs offices located at Assisi Heights. Enter the Conference Center door at the back of the convent complex.
How Much:
Below are the annual fees for the 2008-2009 season.

Concert Attire Note: There is an additional fee for special sizes and for rush shipping. In some cases, singers can purchase used attire from previous choir members.
Upon accepting a position in one of the choirs, each singer must pay an $80 non-refundable registration fee to hold his/her spot. The remainder of the annual tuition fee is then divided into four equal payments, due on September 7, November 2, January 4, and March 1.
Concert attire must be paid for in full by the first rehearsal.
Fundraisers and Scholarships:
There are two annual fundraisers in which singers can participate to earn funds for tuition or to "bank" for future post-season tours.
There are also two scholarship programs for singers. The Myatt Helmers Scholarship is available to all singers with financial need.
